Do I need an appointment for a Nail Trim only?
We take walk-ins for nail trims (if we are not very busy/overbooked). Walk-in times are Monday-Saturday 10:00am-3:00pm. However, you do need an account with us. Please select the book now button on the home page to create one.
What if my dog is matted?
If your pet is matted, you will be given the option of paying a de-matting fee to have the matts brushed out of you can have your pet shaved down to rid them of the matts.
Severe Matting: In some cases, severe matting may be impossible to brush out without causing your dog significant discomfort or pain. At Meelo’s Pet World, your pet’s comfort and safety always come first—above cosmetic appearances. If a full shave-down becomes necessary to remove the matting, we will contact you beforehand to discuss the best course of action. You will have the option to take your dog home or allow us to proceed with safely removing the mats. Your dog’s well-being is our top priority, and we’re here to ensure they leave our care feeling happy and stress-free.
Will my price be the same for every appointment?
For most appointments, your grooming price will stay consistent. However, it’s important to remember that grooming is a service, not a one-size-fits-all product. If your dog is severely matted, extra time, effort, and care are required to safely remove the mats, which may result in a de-matting fee.
Think of it like getting your nails done—if you request a specific shape or need a repair for a broken nail, the cost will adjust accordingly. Similarly, if you notice a fee added to your grooming bill, please understand that it reflects the additional work and resources dedicated to ensuring your pup receives the best possible care. Your dog’s comfort and well-being are always our top priorities!
How do I know when my dog is done?
Meelo’s Pet World staff will text and or call you when your pup is about to be done.
Can I book repeating grooming sessions?
Yes! We encourage you to book multiple grooming sessions for three to even six months ahead. We also offer the option to be put on a 4/6/8-week schedule for the year. Our groomers are in high demand, and we get book quickly, so please plan ahead.
It’s my pup’s first groom, what can I expect?
While some puppies have a great first groom, that is not always the case. Some pups can get nippy, excited and have a lot to say during a session.
Our groomers have the golden touch and are able to calm most any dog. When that is not possible the groomers will make a judgement call on what treatments they feel are safe to proceed with. It goes without saying that groomers will not bring sharp objects near a dog is the dog is not calm.
What if my dog is aggressive?
At Meelo’s Pet World, we prioritize the safety and well-being of both your pets and our groomers. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate aggressive dogs. Grooming an aggressive pet poses significant risks—not only to our team but to your dog as well.
Our groomers rely on their hands and skill to provide the exceptional care your pets deserve. Any injuries could prevent them from working and affect their livelihood. We kindly ask for your understanding as we uphold this policy to ensure a safe environment for everyone involved.
